Jay and I recently asked my longest-time friend Natalie's daughter Olivia to be our flower girl. We sent a book about this important duty across the "big pond" to Portugal in order to pop the question (she said yes!!) and were thrilled to see this lovely photo on their family blog today (see: McQuilton Family Blog under my blog links)! Olivia is starting to catch on to the excitement ahead and we can't wait to see her after so many years!
I am just so excited that Natalie and her family are going to be there to share our day. We literally go WAY BACK - having grown up a few houses down from each other after our mothers had done the same. Our families share great memories - including many parties each year to celebrate graduations, weddings, babies, and of course, the best of all - tupperware, candle, jewlery and pearl parties galore! We became regulars at the local theatre, attending musicals for girls night out, ending with a visit to Sweetwaters for appetizers, drinks, and desserts. Natalie and I have been through schools, boyfriends, and breakups together. We have laughed and cried, and we have shared in each other's joy.
Now that we are adults with careers and/or children, and live thousands of miles away, nothing has changed. Friends like Natalie and her family are rare for anyone to have - I am grateful to have them in my life...and all of the memories that we now (and will) share!

Oh, that made me cry! I can't believe I missed this post yesterday. You gave me an idea for another post. So, stay tuned!
So cute Amers! I can't wait to see Ms. Olivia at your wedding, since the last time I saw her was at Stacy's Graduation when she was only a few months old.
