Christmas in July

Jay started a tradition Christmas of 2006 when he gave me an ornament that could hold our picture from that year. It meant a lot to me seeing as Jay doesn't get very excited about the holidays and the fact that it was prior to our engagement and said "our family" on it! He told me that every year, we were to get a new photo ornament for our collection. Well, last year, he stopped by Hallmark a few days too late. There were no photo ornaments anywhere!! We even looked into the New Year for something and were unsuccessful.

Tuesday after work, we were doing some errands and saw the sign in Hallmark's window announcing the arrival of their Christmas 2008 collection. We quickly decided that we might as well find ours now before we missed it again!! This ornament was most appropriate for our first married Christmas and now sits on our kitchen counter waiting to go to its special place in our holiday storage.
