Ta Ta For Now Dress....I'll Miss You

Let's start this post off with a small quiz:
Q: You know the wedding is coming up when____________.
A: The yogurt you have for lunch expires on your wedding day.

Ok, I finally remembered a big thing that I meant to blog about. I mailed, yes, mailed, my wedding dress home this weekend. I have been trying to figure out what to do about "the dress" since I purchased it in June of last year, but finally decided to take the chance, to trust FedEx, and to have it waiting for me in Vermont. The main reason was because I'm flying several legs (and several hours) to get home on Monday night and very possibly will be by myself. Jay is trying to jumpseat with me, but you never know how booked the flights are going to be.

I picked it up from my amazing seamstress on Saturday afternoon. She helped me fold it nicely and pack it real good so that it was "waterproof" and safe. My plan was to mail it 2-day air in order to cut down on my worry time while it was being transported. But here's the thing: 2-day was $63 to mail while ground was only $11. Big difference, especially when you are planning a wedding! So I took a deep breath, insured the heck out of it, and kissed it goodbye.

Right now, I'm sure that it's in a truck somewhere in the middle of the country. I'll get my first real tracking update tomorrow, so cross your fingers for me!

Relax!! It will be there and waiting for you when you get there. I trust Fedex , after all you do have the tracking number to watch it all the way there. Do you realize how many Wedding Dresses have been fedexed around the world? I'll be holding my breath with you until you let us know it got there :)

How about this... you know you're married when your wife packs expired yogurt in your lunch and you think maybe, just maybe, she's trying to kill you. Slowly. With bad yogurt.

Can't wait to see you guys on Thursday!
