"Your call is very important to me..."

I am in sales. I am on the phone a lot & I hear a lot of voicemail messages. The most annoying to me is the aforementioned - "Your call is very important to me...blah blah blah". How do they know that? Do they call everyone back? I know my call isn't "Very Important" to 99% of them - it may be welcomed and convenient, but they are not waiting by the phone for my call! I do not understand why someone feels like they need to make promises like that on voicemail - whatever happened to "Please leave a message...". Keep it straightforward and simple people!
