How Lovely are your Branches

This is my best Christmas Tree yet. I am so proud of the beautiful lights, the "realistic" snow, and all of the ornaments on it that tell the story of my life. My first ornament sits high on the tree next to my newest addition - a gift from my little sister to remember the year of my engagement!



Other favorites include hand cut and painted reindeer and bells that my late grandfather made with my Aunt Valerie, a gift from a stranger I gave donuts to at the end of my Dunkin Donuts shift that day (he came back an hour later with the ornament to thank me!), and the "Our Family" ornament that Jay gave me last year to start our very own collection.

There is some sort of warm comfort that these memories give me each year - that month or two that I have to have them out to enjoy... It is always a sad for me in January when I have to put them back in their boxes for another 10 months in hiding.
