Friday night after work, we went to Pizzeria Bianco.
This is a famously delicious pizza restaurant in downtown Phoenix that has been raved about by many famous people (including Martha Stewart) and the likes of Food & Wine Magazine, NY Times, etc. When it comes down to it, this place has been called the best pizza in the United States! Anyway - Jay and my mom got there at 4:00 to get in line, and my friend Kelley and I met up with them and Ryan who had gotten there shortly before us. We together waited another 2 hours to be seated. This we were prepared for. It is widely known that there is a wait and that it can easily exceed 3 hours...all of which really wasn't that bad believe it or not! It was a beautiful day, we enjoyed cold beer from Bar Bianco next door, and great conversation with friends.
And the pizza was fabulous. I especially loved the Biancoverde which is a white pizza (homemade mozzarella, ricotta and parmesan) topped with fresh arugula. SOOOO good. We all had our favorites and had a great time.
Having said goodbye to my mom Monday morning, I'm already missing her. Luckily, it's only another few weeks until my trip home to Vermont!!!

My mouth is watering! Sounds like fun.
You waited 2 hours - Jay and I waited 3 hours... Thank goodness for nice cold beer that was available during the wait. (For a price of course).
