Today’s lunch brought us to Indian Fry Bread House on 7th Avenue and Indian School Road. This lunch was inspired by one of my sales reps who brought me a treat from there one afternoon a month or so ago. Fried dough with melted butter, melted chocolate, and powdered sugar. Kelley was happy to share it with me and ever since then, we were determined to head to this place for lunch some day.
“Some day” was today. Kelley, Denise, Tina and I headed over just in time to beat the crowds. We all ordered the “Combination” which was a nice round poufy disc of fried dough, topped with refried beans, shredded beef, lettuce, and cheese. Check it out:

I ate it like a taco while the other girls chose the fork & knife route. Regardless of the technique, we were all quite happy in our noontime indulgence. It was good. No way around that.
For dessert, Kelley ordered a melted butter & powdered sugar fry bread:

while I ordered the melted butter & chocolate version. Both were fantastic, though I was just smitten with the puddle of butter and chocolate in the middle of the latter:

Have I told you there isn’t anything better than good friends & good food?
