We are both here in Vermont and have been crazily (is that a word?) running around getting things done. The weather has been surprisingly nice - sunny with little bouts of rain here and there. We had such a busy day - here's the rundown:
We had our final meeting with the boat, stopped to visit my grandparents' grave, then went to the town office to get our marriage license. After that, went to Costco to scout out beer and other fixins for the pig roast.
Seeing as we were quite pooped, we decided to make a visit to Shelburne Vineyard for a wine tasting. It is a new location just down the street from my mom's place. The vines were beautiful in the sunlight and I took some great pictures of the green & red grapes just dripping off the vines (can you believe GRAPES in Vermont??!). Anyway - the wine tasting was great - only $2 to taste 6 wines, and you get to keep the beautiful glass. Pictures to follow at some point, I promise!!
After basking in the sun for a little bit, we headed back to mom's house to put together the seating arrangements. Not fun, but we did it and think it will be just great.
Tricia and Sean just arrived, so now we're catching up and enjoying some yummy Long Trail beer. The rest of the family arrives tomorrow night - looking forward to seeing everyone as they start to come in over the next couple days!!
Just 2 days to go...pinch me....
