The Container Store

This week during one of my lunch breaks, I slipped away from the office to check out a new store that opened in Scottsdale. I had heard of The Container Store before and felt excited entirely about the name of it as I truly enjoy the act of putting things away. Into containers. How perfect could this store be?

Unfortunately it took me a full 30 minutes to get there due to ridiculous traffic. I mean, this traffic was truly painful. The painful traffic limited me to a mere 10-15 minutes of checking out the store. Not cool.

It probably was good that I had a limited amount of time because I LOVED IT. It was like a candy store for people like me. I could picture my future craft room, neatly organized with ribbon holders, thread boxes, and paper trays. I could visualize all of Jay's stuff in its very own place instead of spread out on the kitchen counter. I could see complete organization on the horizon. Someday.

Until then, our piles of stuff here and there work pretty nicely :)

I love piles, and although I love containers they never seem to work for me. Maybe if I had an individual container that I could put in a larger container my life would have some sort of order.

I'VE been wanting to check out that store! I've loved containers and labeled boxes since I read a Bernstein Bears book on the cubs organizing their room...I was about 5 years old when that passion started

I loved the Bernstein Bears with the messy room too! Their room in the end, I remembering thinking it was the coolest!
