I'm in Stitches!!!

Now that wedding planning is a thing of the past, I am free to get my hands on some new projects. Last weekend while Jay was away, I took a good long look at all of the fabric in our guest (read: sewing) room and thought - I need to do something with this!! So, I started cutting strips and next thing you know, I was well on my way to making a baby quilt. 

I spent a few evenings in a row with my sewing machine, putting excitement and love into each square. Oh how nice it was to be sewing again!!! Then, it happened. My needle SNAPPED in half, leaving my sweet machine in a confused frantic state. I put it back together with a new needle and though it sewed, it just didn't sound right. So now it's undergoing maintenance and I won't see it for up to 2 weeks!! 

Don't "they" know that I just started a quilt? That I've been dreaming about sewing those colorful strips of fabric together??? That I am now subject to actually watching football all weekend instead of escaping away to work on my project? Oh well, I guess I can handle it. I am in fact glad that it's on TV right now because that means that my hubby is home :)
